SaberTooth^® Portable Two-Way Derailer

The SaberTooth^® Portable Two-Way Locomotive Derail is designed for use with 4-axle and 6-axle locomotives and freight cars on wood or concrete tie tracks. This 67-pound derail fits rails weighing 100-142 lbs and provides left-hand and right-hand derailing capability in both directions from either rail. Testing at the Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, Colorado, proved it can derail a 6-axle, 380,050 lb. locomotive traveling at 10 mph. Not recommended for use where speeds exceed 10 mph.

PATENT APPLIED FOR

Our SaberTooth^® Portable Two-Way Locomotive Derail, was put to the test at the Transportation Technology Center, in Pueblo, Colorado. The test proved that our SaberTooth^® Portable Two-Way Locomotive Derail, can derail a 6-axle, 380,050 lbs. locomotive at 10 m.p.h.
