"Burlington" Style Freight Car Rerailer

Aldon's Burlington Style Freight Car Rerailers provide reliable rerailing for standard-size freight cars and locomotives. These double-ended rerailers lock securely to rails using clamps and wedges, preventing slipping or kick-out during operation. Sold separately, they must be used in pairs with one inside and one outside rerailer. The design allows you to reverse direction and exchange positions to accommodate different derailed wheel situations. Each rerailer handles a maximum axle weight of 36 US tons or 72,000 lbs, making them suitable for heavy-duty railroad maintenance and recovery operations.
