Bumping Post Standard (Light Traffic)

Shop our light traffic bumping posts, built to handle maximum impact forces up to 400,000 lbs. Designed to bolt through rails with optional middle rail installation for added strength, these bumping posts are a reliable solution for protecting your siding during switching operations. Standard finish is Oxide Primer Red, with yellow paint available at an additional cost. Sign holders and solar powered lights are also available separately.

Bumping Post is designed for light traffic.

• Leave 3 to 4 ties worth of rail length behind the post.
• For general service sidings that have flat switching yards or no descending grades at the end of the track.
• Use with smaller strings of cars.

Save your bumping post from unnecessary damage from accidental ramming as a cut of cars is switched into the siding.

• Item #: 4015-05 Hinged, lockable sign holder bolts to the base of the rail. Solar-powered amber flashing light on an aluminum bracket.
• Item #: 4015-57 sits on the holder. Approaching the switch engine drivers can see the amber caution light flashing at a great distance, day or night.

The standard color is Oxide Primer Red. Can be painted yellow at an additional cost.
