Switch Checker Card

The Aldon^® Switch Checker is a laminated card used by inspectors to measure railroad switch point gaps and verify correct alignment. Built as a training device, the card allows track inspectors to quickly check the critical clearance between the switch point and the stock rail. Regular monitoring ensures that switches close fully, identifying track defects early to prevent catastrophic wheel climbing and costly train derailments.

Features

• Rotate the card to match the view on the card to your Left-Hand switch or Right-Hand switch.
• Facing-Point views are on one side of the card.
• Trailing-Point views are on the other side.
• The "Lenticular Printing" allows the worker to view the two different linings of a switch by just tipping the card back and forth.
