Switch Point Shim Kit

Switch Point Shim Kits from Aldon^® give maintenance crews a reliable way to correct rail alignment issues at switch points. These shims close the gap between switch points and rail, helping maintain proper contact, reduce wear, and prevent damage to switch points over time.

Features & Specifications:

• Designed to close the gap between switch points and rail
• Helps prevent damage to switch points
• Kit includes three 1/16" shims and one 1/8" shim.

Instructions:

1. Loosen the nuts and bolts holding the clips to the switch point, do not remove them.
2. Install the desired shims between the clips and the switch points.
3. Tighten the nuts and bolts to compress the shim(s) between the clips and the switch point.
4. Check the switch for proper operation.
