Nine Lives Wheel Wedge

A practical alternative to using oak wedges as wheel chocks. Our Nine Lives Wheel Wedge is designed to chock idle railcars on storage tracks where cars are not subjected to vibration.

• Railcar must be stationary before using a wedge.
• After setting the car brake, the worker slips a wedge under the wheel.
• When the wedge needs to be removed, the worker does not have to stoop down and try to free it from the wheel. Instead, the railcar can run over the wedge repeatedly, with no damage to the wedge and no risk of derailing the car.
• Replaces wooden wedges for chocking idle railcars on storage tracks.

Note: Use on an Exposed or Flush Rail on a Flat Track Only. 

• Not for a car being worked on or being loaded or unloaded. USE STEEL WHEEL CHOCKS INSTEAD.
• Do not use Wheel Wedges if the car is raised at one end. All wheels must remain on the rails.
• Do not install Wheel Wedges on an oily or greasy rail. The rail surface must be clean; otherwise, the Wheel Wedge might slip.
